Having used this loom for several weeks I can say that it is everything it promises. It feels very sturdy and seems well made. There are definitely many pros but some cons as well..
Pros: Really makes one large piece giving your work a cleaner look and finish thanks to the “S” shaped design. You will see progress with your work much quicker (great for impatient people).
Well made and sturdy.
Pegs don’t pop off of loom and they are spaced much closer together than my other looms (another brand) so you can use lighter weight yarn or use single strand rather than double strands of yarn.
Cons: Heavy loom. Though it is still compact for what it is, the loom is not ideal for travel.
The loom is sturdy but it is kind of “bendy” for whatever reason. If you pick up one end the weight of it causes other end to bend. So you need two hands to handle it.
It’s size also makes for difficulty working in bed or in any position where you are holding it up in the air as you work. It is best worked on a table or on some type of support.
Because of the shape of the loom, the inner row of pegs especially around the curvatures of loom are difficult to knit and may require you to tilt the loom away from you to access pegs. Difficult to explain but I found my carpal tunnel flaring up from the repeated maneuvering of the loom to get to inner rows.
Also because of tight corners I was not able to use my special ergonomic handled loom hook…the angle of the hook was too wide to fit between some of the pegs around the corners of loom. I had to go back to using the original hook that came with this loom.
Overall I still think it’s a great idea. Just some things to consider if you like to travel with your loom and knit in strange places 🙂

I have several sizes and shapes of knitting looms, but I was specifically looking for one large enough to knit an entire blanket in one piece. This high quality, sturdy loom is perfect for that purpose. It has a total of 198 pegs, so you can use the entire loom to make a blanket that is approx. 60 inches wide, depending on your stitch pattern and yarn, or less pegs for a baby blanket or lapghan. It is so well designed that even a “lefty” like me can easily work around the entire loom with plenty of space for my hands and the loom hook. It fits nicely on your lap, and the pegs are spaced perfectly so you can use one strand of regular 4-ply yarn, instead of bulky yarn or two strands. That was a real plus for me. This loom comes with a loom tool and an instruction booklet with three afghan patterns. I highly recommend this loom!

I got this to make blankets easier that making sure my blocks were the same size and sewing the blocks together. I like a certain stitch so my blankets aren’t as big as this board can make. I have made several baby blankets with it and have given them away. Depending on the stitches you use you’ll have to use either thick yarn or 2 different strands at once. YouTube has some really good videos that you can get step-by-step instructions on different stitches as such.
