I actually purchased this at http://www.joann.com/ because Amazon didn’t have it yet. At first I only purchased 2 but then went back and got 5 more. I figured I better get some before the stores are wiped out. I told every store when I went to that they better stock up on these. So, I made 6 scarves in 3 hours. This is the best thing I have ever purchased to make scarves. I donate them to my church and from there they give them to the homeless, all the schools in the area, food pantries, prisons and etc. I purchased 7 looms so I can make baby blankets. So, I will have 28 pegs to make the blankets. The thicker the yarn the better. I took 6 empty water gallons (cut the tops off) and put in a skein of yarn and them starter rolling them together. This Zippy Loom is really fun to work with, I will not have a problem making 400 scarves for the church. I just need somebody to donate the yarn to me so I can make all these yarn projects for the people who need them most. I live in a 4 season state so for 8 months these hats, mittens, scarves, blankets etc. are useful. I can’t find anything wrong with this Zippy Loom. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment Reply 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful A lot of fun!, August 20, 2015 By Karen B – This review is from: Authentic Knitting Board Zippy Loom, 5.25 by 3″, Yellow (Misc.) Since you use thick yarn, projects knit up very quickly. The description does not make it clear that the looms clip together so you can make your loom as long as you want by adding more looms. One connector piece is included in each package. Interested in using recycled materials? Homemade t-shirt yarn (tarn) cut 1 1/2″ wide with a spiral method works well. Plarn (plastic bag yarn) can also be knit on it. Rings cut 6″ wide and looped together will produce a thick mat or is stiff enough to make a basket with sides that stand up. I e-wrapped loosely as plarn does not stretch. Black ink from plastic grocery sacks rubbed off onto my loom, but washed off almost completely with dishsoap and water. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment (1) Reply 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful These gizmos are VERY useful and easy to use!, October 1, 2015 By Jan Tech – Verified Purchase(What’s this?) This review is from: Authentic Knitting Board Zippy Loom, 5.25 by 3″, Yellow (Misc.) This (these!) work very well indeed! I had knitted an afghan for a friend’s daughter and it took me 2-3 months to get it finished. I was sooo tired of the project before it was done. BUT I saw this loom and said that this would be even better than arm knitting to do large projects. I took 3 skeins of yarn and with 6 of these looms joined, I COMPLETED my afghan in 8 hours! And it is a beautiful thing! I plan to do several more of the afghans for Xmas gifts — and I have the time to do it (Oct. 1). Yayyy! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment Reply Leave a comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
