Look, I don’t normally take the time to write product reviews. But I felt that I needed to for this quiver, particularly because there are several manufacturers of the same type of quiver.

First, let’s start off with the packaging. It comes in a plastic and mesh zippered bag. It’s fine honestly, but because of a lack of any padding material inside the quiver (like you would find inside a pair of shoes when you buy them), do not expect this quiver to come out looking like the picture. Mine was squashed, and its gonna take some time and coaxing to un-squash the leather and bring it back to the shape its supposed to be in. But I guess that’s a part of the breaking-in process.

Next, construction. I saw the sticker that said “Made In Pakistan” and you know what? It definitely shows. Definitely not top-quality craftsmanship here guys. The leather is really cheap, almost like suede (don’t wear this in the rain). But I’ve been told it’s leather. The three point harness works really great for keeping the quiver still. But the hardware used on the harness is crap. Honestly it’s a lot worse than any made-in-china crap I’ve ever bought. I’m hoping to one day replace the clips and D-rings.

Inside of the quiver, only one separation tube made of flexible plastic, and no foam at the bottom of the quiver, only another piece of plastic similar to the arrow tube. I highly doubt any field points are gonna go tearing through the bottom. Broadheads? With some effort, maybe. The lack of a foam insert isn’t really a problem unless you’re going for silence, but nonetheless I’m going to fashion something at home to stick it inside. Let’s face it, if you really cared about silence you wouldn’t be trudging through the woods with a back quiver anyways. There’s totally enough room for 2 dozen arrows (if you mind your fletchings). Is there enough room for 12 arrows and a take-down recurve? Honestly, maybe, but it won’t be pretty. Front zipper pocket is roomy enough for a glove, stringer, a granola bar or two, some field points, string wax, and a multi-tool.

Down to the details… This is where you start to see Pakistani craftsmanship. I can still see the pencil outlines where the manufacturer was supposed to sew everything together, and a lot of it doesn’t match up. It’s very minor, you can remove the marks by rubbing lightly with an eraser. Regarding the stitching, it looks like it’ll hold up fine. Its not like you’re carrying bricks in it.

How do I feel overall about the quiver? As a person who’s been looking for a back quiver for a while now, I would say that this is a valid low-budget choice. A company called Neet makes this same quiver with better materials and more attention to detail, but at the same time it costs almost twice as much from a place that can’t offer Prime shipping. Other quivers similar to this one sold by Cabela’s have been sold out for a while, and yes, they’re more expensive. Other back quivers not of this design are usually hand made or custom made, and cost more than my bow.

    PROS:
-Good looking quiver if you’re not inspecting it closely.
-Functions extremely well for a back quiver. GREAT UTILITY VALUE
    -Provides that “traditional archer look”
-Half the price of similar quivers on the market made by Neet, Cabelas, etc.

    CONS:
-Craftsmanship is not the best, but it will do.
-Materials used are not the best, but with some DIY work it’s a great project.
-Small manufacturing details viewed up close will tell you why this thing is half the price of similar quivers.

My advice, these things are mostly all the same design. If you’re on a low budget, you really can’t go wrong with this quiver. If you’re a DIYer, this is a great quiver (you’ll need to do a lot of DIY stuff). Personally, I was about to return this thing an hour after I opened it. Then I realized that it’s pretty decent, affordable, and will get the job done. From a utility standpoint, this quiver will function just as well as any other. When I gave it some more though, the minor imperfections and cheaper materials actually help to compliment the look of the traditional archer because it looks a little worn out; it doesn’t scream “I’m a greenhorn in the woods wearing my brand new quiver”. The small details don’t really bother me much, but I wrote this review for any prospective buyers out there who want a better idea of what this quiver is like. I hope this helps.

I was going to write out this review..but it’s early, and I’m lazy. That and its my first review on Amazon so why not?! If you have any questions about this back quiver, just let me know. If you want a quick rundown…

    Pros:
    Comfortable!
    Good quality, fine leather
Nice, adjustable straps to center flap to keep preferred grip
    Front zipper compartment
(Possible clip for hip quiver conversion??..or may just be snap clip for any clip-accessory)

    Cons:
    * Not silent, need to rig foam on bottom to hold arrows – SEE UPDATE FOR WORK-AROUND!**
    Leather a little stiff
Front compartment is a little cramped (stiffness of leather)

**UPDATE – I may have figured it out (why I didn’t notice this earlier). I figured the leather strings in the front of the quiver were for decorative purposes only…when I realized that they strung to the inside of the quiver, it came apparent that you can sling your arrows between these leather strings to pull them tightly together and easily tie them to hold fast, rather than jangling about and making noise when hunting. I would still insert a foam bottom to help support them when each arrow is drawn and gets roomy enough to jangle..but its a great answer to the “silence” problem!

    Thanks and ask any questions!

    Zach

This is a nice traditional looking quiver. It feels very solid, well built, and tough. Im sure it could stand through the brush, but i havent used it for hunting yet. The third sling acts to negate the problem of the back quiver slipping down your back, and it does work well. There are two generous sized halves of the quiver for arrows, but you could probably even store a 2 piece takedown longbow in one half, and arrows in the other. The front storage pouch is pretty small and a pain to reach into (literally, the zippers hurt), but there is ample enough room for bow accessories. I keep my glove and my rolled up bow stringer within, but I’m sure you could also fit a few more small things, like a baggie of field points or a small broad head sharpener. I’m not sure how the bottom will hold up against broad heads, as I’ve said, I haven’t used it for hunting yet. It seems padded with extra leather. As another reviewer said, I think a good idea would be to put some padded foam down there, not just to keep things quiet, but to protect against piercing.

Some reviewers are saying its a bit large for small archers. As for me, I have wide shoulders and a large built frame, so the large proportions work for me! You might have to punch some holes if your a smaller guy, but this works well for big guys.
