I was not overly impressed by this item. The clips came apart from the sticks and are pretty weak and the plastic they use to cover over both the clip and the stick is so bad that the end result is I had to use packaging tape in order to keep them snugly fit together. Some of the clips came delivered without the plastic on and putting thus back over the clip and then getting the stick to connect was a chore. Even some of the sticks were not properly cut correctly as the ends were too fat to go through the hole in the bottom of the plastic in order to connect.
Overall there are probably tons of better ways by which you can get a clipping tool to work for your airbrushing/modeling needs, and I cannot say I would recommend wasting your money buying this product to fulfill thus.

It took me a little thinking and reading the reviews to wrap my head around how these work, but you don’t need superglue to set them up. Just some needle nose pliers and something to clamp them to. 1) Pull off the rubber sheath 2) Put the wood between the gripping pins, and then use the needle nose pliers to crimp the clamps to the wood sticks 3) Clamp to something, I used a cap for a ball point pen 4) slide the rubber sheath back onto the stick and the clamp. The sheath keeps the airbrushed paint from clogging the clamp.
Optional things you might do… a. Use electrical tape to keep the sheath in place. b. if you have welding rod handy, swap out the sticks for metal rods.

Second set I’ve bought. Take the cover off to attach them to the sicks. I use floracraft wet foam (usually for floral arrangements) to mount the sticks in. A must have for modelers.
