The product did as it claimed. When a fish did bite the alarm went off. It worked great when I did some night fishing. I did not have to stare at the rods. If I was doing something or lost in thought and a fish bit, the alarm notified me. It is well worth the price. The bad part is with a narrow rod the alarm would slip some. When casting the line can wrap around then alarm. It is best to take the alarm off when casting. It is sensitive but when a small fish (bait stealers) bit, it usually did not go off. I did like the flashing light, it help when when I had more than one rod out at night. I do plan on being some more and letting my wife try it when she comes along. That is it.

Works great caught a 13 lb channel cat the first time I used it. I think it would have broke me off in the trees if not for the alarm. As I was sleeping when it went off.
