This review is from: Star San- 32 oz I use this to keep my kegerator, beer and Soda making equipment sanitary.Use Star-San on plasticUse IO-Star on metalI have found other uses around my kitchenrefrigerator, meat slicer, food processor, mixer, can opener etc. I can wash most of the parts in the sink but it is hard to get into all the nooks and crannies and be sure its really clean.I use on mason canning jars used to store left overs and a food saver jar sealer to vacuum seal them.I mix very small amounts and always keep on hand in spray bottles in my kegerator cabinet. It only stays viable for a short time about a week or less so I only mix a small amount at a time. UPDATE: still love this stuff use a lot of it on almost everything in my kitchen.Spray and wipe down after preparing or handling any high risk raw foods like chicken or raw meat to prevent cross contamination it is not a substitute for good old soap and hot water just an added precaution.A better choice then using bleach or those popup wipes.Star-San does not require rinsing like the residue bleach solutions or popup wipes can leave.Added bonus if you have any small cuts or scratches on your hands this will help you find them. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment Reply 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful The best sanitizer for home brewers, June 24, 2013 By Ryan Harris – Verified Purchase(What’s this?) This review is from: Star San- 32 oz I have used 3 or 4 different sanitizers since I started home brewing and can say that star san is by far the best sanitizer out there. I had a small bottle of iodophor and used it a couple of times but it’s terrible when you compare it to star san. Iodophor has a really off putting smell when you use it where as star san doesn’t have much of a smell at all and there’s no fear of under diluting and staining plastics. I love it so much that this was my second 32oz bottle and they really do last for a VERY long time. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment Reply 9 of 10 people found the following review helpful Excellent Sanitizer; Easy to Use and Does the Job, July 4, 2012 By Spencer in Seattle – Verified Purchase(What’s this?) This review is from: Star San- 32 oz I’m a home brewer, so I use this stuff to sanitize all my kegs, bottling buckets, lines, and taps. To use it, you simply clean everything with soap and water, fill up a five-gallon bucket with warm water, and add a measure of sanitizer. I typically fill a 5 gallon bucket, add the sanitizer, and throw all the small stuff (spoons, keg taps, air traps, etc.) in there — the fermentation locks, carboy caps, all get sanitized that way. To sanitize a keg, clean it and fill it with this water mixture — then run some CO2 to the keg and sanitize the lines. It’s very easy and does a great job. This sanitizer is always highly recommended by brewers, and the price for 32 oz. bottles through Amazon is not bad. Great sanitizer to be sure. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment (1) Reply Leave a comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
