This is a great little Brio train. Our little one loves it. It fits perfect on his wooden train tracks that are not Brio. The little people that come with it fit inside the train (one per train) but when it goes under an over pass the little peoples heads stick out and hits the over pass (ouch LoL) but I guess that’s Melissa and Doug fault for not having a higher over pass for their wooden train set. Also the little red door for the front and back of the train lifts open so you can put your little people in there however the little red doors sometimes detaches (not suppose to) but you can snap it back on. Other than that, it’s a great little addition to add to any little one set 🙂

We just bought this for our 3 yr old son to add to his train tracks. This is a great little train that will travel smoothly on all wooden tracks including thomas, melissa and doug, and the large box set of 100 generic wooden tracks that sells on amazon which we have as well. The tops of the trains fold up to put the little people inside. They roll along the tracks and do not come off easily on the curves like the thomas trains do. This is a very open ended toy that encourages pretend play and is great for either boys or girls. Even my 9 year old daughter enjoys building the tracks and playing with this train especially. I’m very impressed with the Brio trains. We also gave him a small Brio set that has a crane with batter opperated engine and both are wonderful quality and intergrated perfectly with the other brand pieces he already has. Brio also makes a battery opperated passenger train that would go well with these, we are going to get it next.

This comes with two people who don’t quite fit inside the compartments. Their heads and arms hang out, which makes the train too wide and tall to go through some of the Brio bridges and the older tunnel. However, it’s great fun to put the people in and out; it’s colorful and well-made.
