This review is from: CandleScience 50 Piece Natural Candle Wick, Large (Misc.) I brought these because I love the candle science scents and thought that I would love the wicks in my candles too. I was wrong! Lots of smoke. I wouldn’t suggest to anyone. Wish I could return them. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment (1) Reply 23 of 25 people found the following review helpful Smokey wicks., April 3, 2013 By bjk123 – Verified Purchase(What’s this?) This review is from: CandleScience 50 Piece Natural Candle Wick, Large (Misc.) The wicks smoke so badly I have to stick the candles outside for the first half hour I light it til the smoke dies down. Wick size has to be the perfect height to keep it from smoking. Then if it gets too short it hardly burns, a touch too long and then it smokes again. Too much work for a scented candle. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment Reply 44 of 56 people found the following review helpful possible clarification for smokiness…, December 20, 2013 By daniel couper (Johnson City, TN) – This review is from: CandleScience 50 Piece Natural Candle Wick, Large (Misc.) let me begin by saying that i’ve never owned or used this product. however, i am currently considering purchasing it, and have, therefore, done a fair bit of research into wick types and sizes and suchforth. having read a number of these reviews on this page, i’ve noticed that some people have said these wicks are perfect and nearly smokeless, while others say that these are the smokiest wicks they’ve ever seen. again, i’ve not tried this product out myself, but candlescience has a video on their website about choosing the proper wick size for your candle, which might be worth checking out. the video actually cites smokiness as a symptom of a wick that it far to large for its candle (and, since we are talking about “large” wicks here, which candlescience recommends for use in [soy] candles that are at least 3″ in diameter, it seems at least a possible cause). here’s the link to the video: […] (you’ll need to copy and paste) 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comments (2) Reply Leave a comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
