Although I have had to move up to a much heavier glove (as an instructor, I shoot approximately 1000 arrow a week from a 66# recurve bow), but I used the Damascus glove for many years for lighter bows (55# and under). This glove, without a doubt, is about the best glove you can buy for lighter bows. It’s thin and wears like iron. I’ve shot tens-of-thousands of arrows with these gloves and never had one wear out. If you are getting wear (especially in the fingertips), it means that you are “dragging” or “pushing” the arrow upon release (poor release technique). I would highly recommend this glove to any archer. If I had a complaint, it would be that finding a Damascus glove for junior archers is nearly impossible. I’ll keep looking.

I am really enjoying this glove so far. The leather is thin and supple, so it only took me a single archery practice to get it worn in. In some other reviews, I have seen people mention that they think the glove is too thin. I am shooting with a 30# recurve bow, and for a lighter weight bow, I think this glove is perfect.
Before I bought this glove, I spent a bit of time wavering over which size to purchase. Finally, I did a little research, and I found a sizing guide listed on the 3Rivers Archery website. According to that website, Damascus gloves are listed in Mens sizes. Here is the size chart I found:
“Extend your hand flat. With a measuring tape, wrap it around the hand just below the knuckles and fingers, but above the thumb. Apply the measurement to the chart below.
Damascus Gloves If Hand Measures (Men’s Sizes) 8″ = Small 9″ = Medium 10″= Large 11″= X-Large
Based on this size chart, I purchased a size Small. I was a little concerned about that when I ordered, because while my fingers are short, they are also thick, but the fingers on this glove are wide, so the glove I ordered fits pretty well.
I have only noticed two small issues with the glove so far. One is that that velcro strap around the wrist can be a bit scratchy at times. Also, I have had the seam for the reinforced tips catch on the string a couple times when I’ve released. I’m fairly new to archery though, so I may have been releasing improperly.
Overall, I really do like this glove. I find it much nicer to use than a finger tab, and I’m hoping it will last me a long while.

This review is from: Damascus DWC Archery Shooting Glove, Three Finger Design Fits Either Hand, Velcro Strap, Medium (Tools & Home Improvement)
This three-finger glove is made of a reasonably good quality leather. A little on the ‘thin’ side but I will come back and update this review if it wears out or comes apart sooner than expected. Right or left-handed.
We ordered this for our teenage kid (13) and the ‘medium’ size fits him perfectly. Adults should consider ‘large’ or ‘extra large’.
Made in Pakistan.
