I love my Denise needles! This is my third set, and I use all of them. I already have a blue set and a pink set, but since I like to keep a set at home and one in my knitting bags, I’ve wanted another for a while. The pastel set is perfect.
If you’ve never used Denise needles, they are very handy. All the sizes come in one hard case, along with the cords and connectors. Very portable. So easy to change needle sizes in a snap. The cords are a little thicker than some circulars, but not so much that they are unpleasant to use. Thicker cords are an advantage when you need more stability to hold your stitches, and they are closer in size to the needle tips at the join, so not as much pushing of stitches onto the needles.
I also love being able to cast on with a needle a couple of sizes bigger, then just snap off that needle tip, snap on the smaller needle tip, and away I go with knitting the project. Same with my bind- offs–never too tight because I again switch out the working needle.
The joins on these needles are tight. In over 10 years using them, I’ve never had one come apart while knitting. The set also comes with connectors, which you can use to connect shorter cords together to make a longer one. There are also end plugs that you can use to cap the ends of the cord to save your stitches while using the needle tips for another project, or simply to put on the end of a cord to make it like a flexible straight needle. The needle tips themselves are very nice and pointy, but not poke-you sharp. They are nice and slick, but not as slippery as Addi Turbos or stainless steel needles, but the stitches still slide nicely. They are not sticky like bamboo needles.
So, didn’t mean to do such a long review, but I really do use these Denise sets a lot, and take a set with me in my project bags. So nice to have so many needle options in one little box, and I love the colors, too!

I love these needles! What a great product. First of all I’d like to say that I do own one other set of interchangeables and I like them too but I really wanted to try Denise. Here are some of the reasons I like them so much.
I love the case. The case comes with a place for everything so you won’t lose or misplace a cord or needle. They all have their own spot and everything stays tidy.
The set comes with two connectors so that you can make your cord very long. This came in really handy when I made a pinwheel blanket last month.
The joins are really smooth and you don’t have to worry about catching your yarn on them. They’re very easy to connect to the needles and you don’t have to worry about cord keys. One little turn and the cord is stuck there until you want to remove it. They have never come loose or fallen away from the needle.
The cords are thicker and I really like that. Somehow it doesn’t feel so flimsy and in fact feels like a flexible needle. I think it creates less pressure on the joins and my knitting feels more evenly distributed.
How does the yarn slide along the needles? I find it a comfortable slide. Not too slippery but not sticky either. It’s feels just right and works very well.
These needles are very light and for anyone suffering from Carpal Tunnel I would highly recommend them. I have Carpal Tunnel and understand the pain.
If you are looking for a comfortable easy to use quality set of interchangeable needles Denise is a great choice. I really love them. I find them rather unique compared to the others on the market and I plan on purchasing another set.
One thing to think about though; if you really enjoy knitting fast and like a slippery needle these may not be for you. I too have the slippery ones and they are great for some things, but on the other hand if you are looking for a handy, comfortable ‘go to’ set of needles these are fantastic.

I’ve tried several interchangeable knitting needle sets, and I think this is the best one for the price.
It has most any needle size that you need, and a lot of cable sizes. The needles are smooth, and the yarn flows nicely over them. They aren’t as slippery as metal, but they are smoother than wood. The join where the needle meets the cable is smooth and hasn’t come undone on me once (I’ve tried other sets where the needles become unscrewed while you are knitting – not fun!). It comes in a compact case that is portable.
The only problem that I can foresee is using the smallest size needles – the cords are thicker than on most sets that I’ve tried, so I’m not sure how easily the yarn will move over the cord.
