This review is from: Field Logic Youth Block GenZ Open Target (Sports)
I bought this target for my 8 year old son who has just taken up the sport of archery… and he’s spending all of his freetime in the yard shooting at this target.
The target was easy to set-up right out of the box, I simply used a couple of bungee cords to secure the target to a backyard fence by the handle and voila, he was ready to go. The various sized-circles provide a challenge for new archers as they improve, they need to aim for the smaller target.
We left the target out in the rain during a major storm and it’s still like new. I am sure we will get plenty of use from this target in the months to come.

Love the Field Logic Youth Block GenZ Target. It’s small enough to be extremely portable and big enough to present a meaningful target for both my children and myself. Every once and a while they’ll miss and we’ll have to search for an arrow, but for the most part my beginner archers (9 & 11) can hit this target consistently from 20-30 yards without any trouble.
With 30-35 pound bows at 20 yards the arrows (with field tips) penetrate about 5-7 inches and remove easily. Even though it’s only stated to accept 40lb bows or less, I regularly shoot at it with my 55 pound bow without any trouble. My arrows punch all the way through the other side but are safely stopped about halfway (30 inch arrows), which might be problematic for anybody that wishes to set up the target against a hard background. But they are still easy to remove; they slide right out. I have not shot broadheads at this target so I can’t comment on it’s performance in that regard, but with field tips it’s terrific.
If there is any negative at all it’s that it will occasionally tip over when an arrow hits high, which bent a couple of aluminum arrows when it tipped over. But that complaint probably isn’t fair given that it happens most with a bow that is set to a heavier LB than the target is rated for, but it does also happen occasionally with the 30 and 35lb bows. The aluminum arrows that bent were cheap and I was expecting to have to throw them away soon anyway so it didn’t really bother me. The carbon arrows survive the tip-over event without an trouble (usually it tips back a little when the arrow strikes and then falls forward when it tips back, the weight of the arrows on the front pulling it over – so the arrow(s) still stuck in the target break the fall. We always have it set up on grass, maybe this wouldn’t happen on a hard surface? haven’t tried that). But I really don’t mind this little issue as I wanted something LIGHT and PORTABLE. It would not tip if it was heavier, but it would be harder to transport then too. If there must be a trade off I’ll keep the portability.
All in all, though, this is EXACTLY what I wanted. Something small, light and portable that we could easily take with us wherever we go. Simply drop it and shoot. Couldn’t be any easier than that. Have never had it damage an arrow (the above tipping incident not withstanding) or have any difficulty removing arrows from the foam layers. We’ve put a few hundred arrows into it so far and one can just barely tell that it has been used, so I expect that it’ll hold up well for a long time to come.
GREAT PRODUCT. Would definitely recommend to a friend and/or buy again.

I had purchased another target online (Hurricane) and my son could not get an arrow into it with his good quality 20lb youth bow but he can sink every one with the Block. Price was very reasonable, size is fine, a larger one would be great but I knew what size I was getting. Seams it should last a while.
