It works great on our dining room table. It’s clearly designed to be put on top of a pool table, because it has downward-facing hinges that will scratch your table if you aren’t careful, and which will lift up the middle to stop it being flat unless you compensate for it somehow. We put books on the sides to lift it up and it works great.
We also had some minor issues with the net, which isn’t the highest quality – the arms have a tendency to gradually turn sideways under the tension of the net.
However all it all it’s a great table tennis table that takes up far less space than having a dedicated table.

What I was expecting was a table, folded in half, with some kind of mechanism underneath to lock the two halves and – voila – I would have a large stable table-top. What I got was TWO halves, each folded in half. As we unfolded each half, there is no way to lock the piece flat, so it kind of bows up. When the two halves are placed together, they don’t exactly match – and they slide apart easily during play. No weight or pressure can be applied to the tabletop (besides a tiny ping pong ball), which makes playing kind of a drag.
The tabletop arrived and the outer packaging was damaged and smashed. Held out hope that the inner packaging was intact. No. Held out further hope that product was not affected. No. There are smashes to the corners, which makes it look kind of junky, right off the bat.
The only reason I’m not returning this is because my husband and I don’t want to haul this back upstairs and repackage it for a return pick-up. Plus, the poor packaging standards pretty much guarantee any replacement would be similar (maybe worse?) than what we just got. I may end up returning this after all, but it’s so large and heavy, I just don’t have the energy. I’m just really disappointed.

Not the greatest quality, but I love it! Easy to handle the set-up (by myself) with two long banquet tables under the two sides. Had to return the first one due to dents and flaws on the table top (deal-breaker was the dent in the middle of one side and the ball would hit that spot and go flying).
Second one is good – still not great, but the concept is great! Worth the price.

Works great, but needs to be lifted up if used on a dining table,
