It’s very fast. And out of the box it’s set up right. Everything worked great. Has an extra battery and a very short charge time. Jumps Hills grass dirt. This thing does it all with np. This is the perfect car for anyone that dobt want to spend hunders on a hobby grade rc. But still wants the proformance of one. This is a must buy. Great for the kid starting in rc. For those of us old enough to remember a childhood before the Web, the the gateway drug for R/C back in the 80’s was TYCO, My folks splurged and surprised me with an Aero Turbo Hopper for my birthday. Fast for a kid’s car, the “cream” of the entry level stuff. Sadly, (This being Oregon) one light splash killed the poor thing on it’s second day. TYCO immediately offered a replacement, but took well over a full year to do so, during which time the Hopper went out of production, and instead, they replaced it with the ugly, kid’s “heads up” version. My young self was crushed. The Foxx S911 is better than the Aero Hopper in every way. Remote runs at 2.4 Ghz, giving the car superior range. (about 2 short blocks for me) You do have to pair the remote at every on/off cycle, however I believe this means you can run 2 cars at the same time without interference. Trim is on the back of the remote, and I have the car going arrow-straight when it’s not sliding in the wet. Full proportional control, (not just go/stop like some lower end cars), it recognizes small movements. We just had a heavy storm weekend here in Oregon, add that to the car’s power and torque. and the loss of traction has sent it through a few good shallow puddles, nothing over the sides of the body yet, but it’s been splashed, and run through tall, very wet grass repeatedly now with no signs of mechanical trouble. (Video is of one of the wet Grass runs, check those rooster-tail sprays) Good suspension, bit of spring to it and it’s doing well on rough gravel, Bumpers are minimal but did take a few curbs without damage, It’s a shame that Amazon only lets me load one vid, maybe this weekend I’ll get one of the kids to hold the camera while we take it through multiple terrains in one shot. Good starter car for those of us who aren’t into the expensive ones yet. Fast enough to be plenty of fun for those who just want a decent, fast little car to zip around. One of the first things I noticed while unboxing was how much the vehicle was touted for its speed (upwards of 35mph). This got me really eager to try it out and see how well it really performed, and after charging the vehicle battery and putting two AA batteries (not included) into the remote, I can say that this thing is FAST. At first I was using it indoors and just speeding through rooms and around furniture and it was a ton of fun. The truck handles really well and accelerates extremely fast. I also had absolutely no problems with the receiver or any other parts not working correctly. After messing around inside for a while, I tested it outside in a parking lot, and that’s where the speed of the vehicle and the range of the transmitter really showed their strength. The truck effortless zoomed across the parking lot and the transmitter is good enough that you should almost never get out of range while driving. In all my time with the truck, I only have two small complaints. The first is that the controls seem to stutter a little bit when quickly transitioning from accelerating to going in reverse. There is just a small amount of lag but it is probably deliberate as to put less strain on the electrical system. My second complaint is that I think for the price 2 AA batteries should be included for the controller. Other than that it’s all positive and I highly recommend it for a good time!
