   We bought this starter LBG train set for our adult son who is now a father. Our own LBG set was purchased in 1989 and has been assembled around the Christmas tree every year since. We have bought other non LBG G scale engines and cars through the years which have all broken down, but not the original LBG set which has certainly been manhandled through the years by our children. The Engine still keeps chugging away. The LBG trains are expensive, but we intend to add a car and/or more track each year to our son’s set.

   The LGB G scale train is great. Runs smooth, the track is beautiful and when I bought it on Amazon the price was very good. I have noticed the price for this set has gone way up. Extra cars will cost more but its a pleasure to run..good quality..
