As a previous reviewer stated, the pouch is much more black than brown. The embossed logo shown in the picture has been replaced with a gaudy tan leather patch, seems like it will just be in the way (in fact I’ve already removed it). It also has white stitching throughout and the metal parts are not brass colored but silvery steel. Not that it matters, but the picture is wrong and really should be updated. Seems cheap, and it was, which is why I bought it. It’s surprisingly lightweight but good and stiff with a lot of rivets at the stress points. I imagine that, like other leather pouches, it will wear well.
edit. After a year, it has worn well as suspected– and i’m not nice to it. No rivets blown and no stitches busted. Browner than it was then. Probably smells a bit worse.

This pouch is excellent. I am a big user of pouches/tool belts while I am on the job as an electrician which led me on a quest to find one that really enhances my performance. I’ve tried lots of other pouches that ended up being either too big or too small.
This pouch fits everything I need without adding lots of weight and bulk. My usual set up of tools which fit perfectly in this pouch consists of: 2 screwdrivers (phillips and flat head, both 6″ long) Channel locks Pliers Dykes Needle-nose pliers Tin snips 6″ torpedo level Small flashlight Non-contact voltage tester 30′ tape measure Sharpie markers/pencils 2 rolls of electrical tape Utility knife
Sometimes I carry more or less tools depending on the task but this pouch handles it all. It’s a little stiff at first but I treated it like a new baseball glove and baked it in an oven after rubbing some baby oil on it. After a week of heavy use it has really softened up.
If you’re looking for a pouch, I highly suggest for you to try this one out. And if it doesn’t fit your needs you can easily return it. I hope this helps!

I am an electrician in a steel mill and carried this for 6 days a week, getting one year and 5 days out of it before the belt loop tore through. I agree with the other claims that this is not leather, but some sort of synthetic leather imitation. Where the tear is at, it looks like pressed cardboard or something. For light use, it would be fine, but for serious everyday use, I’d spend more and get a REAL leather one first, or you’ll be buying another like me.
This was replaced by the Style N Craft oiled top grain leather pouch which is almost dead on as far as design and size, but is made of REAL leather. Trust me, the few extra dollars are worth it. There is no comparison in qualitly. Get the SNC pouch if this is the style that you are looking for.
