Cruze Sr. – Verified Purchase(What’s this?) This review is from: Micro Set Setting Solution, 1 oz (Toy) I really like this. I was having an extremely difficult time with my decals. They kept breaking. After wetting the decal, I lightly shake off the water and set it aside, then slobber the Mico Set solution on the area where I’m going to put the decal. I then slide the decal off and onto the model. There’s plenty of time to move the decal into the correct spot and let it dry. The decal dries and forms to the contour of the lines in the model. It looks like it was painted on. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment Reply 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful Must have, July 24, 2013 By Ponson416 (Louisiana) – Verified Purchase(What’s this?) This review is from: Micro Set Setting Solution, 1 oz (Toy) I will never be without this stuff ever again. This is essential for applying decals. It helps with setting the decals into place, and it softens them to form to lines and small details. Apply some Micro Sol right after and the decals look painted on. I’ve done 3 models and have hardly used any of this stuff. It will last a while! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment Reply 10 of 11 people found the following review helpful Works, but questionable value, March 26, 2014 By Yu-Jin Chia (San Jose, CA USA) – Verified Purchase(What’s this?) This review is from: Micro Set Setting Solution, 1 oz (Toy) This is actually both a decal adhesive and remover. It basically softens the decal so it can either be scraped clean or stuck onto a surface. I used it for some Star Trek models that have aztec decals in multiple layers. However, after some use I’m pretty sure this one is unnecessary. It does work, but I’ve found that the result of using this plus Micro Sol isn’t really any different from just Micro Sol. Getting decals to stick on plastic is usually not a big problem, and Micro Set seems to be a bit too runny to help in this case at any rate. Interestingly, Micro Sol also softens decals but is supposed to be applied after the decal has dried. Micro Set is marketed as a softener for wet application. However, for this purpose I don’t think it’s a whole lot better than regular white vinegar. In fact, I suspect it IS just white vinegar- it certainly smells like it at any rate. Bottom line: it works, but is it really necessary? In most cases, probably not. It’s also a bit expensive considering you really can just use vinegar. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comments (3) Reply Leave a comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
