   Works and does the job for the money. Turning/speed knob is very stiff, but not enough to say it is defective. For a basic train controller, this is fine.

   The original transformer only lasted for 1 Christmas. This unit was put on a timer and ran for 30 days, 6 hours an night; no problem. It worked better than expected. The controls are very smooth to operate.

   This works great. Lots of power and adjustments. Had a little trouble getting the right wires on the right prongs, but I am just a rookie train person. After I figured that out it works excellent.
