This is a fantastic beginner bow for both adolescents and adults. Being a 60″ bow it’s a “full size” bow, NOT a toy! I bought this to have a loaner bow for those times when bow-less friends wanted to go out shooting with me. It’s extremely forgiving and has accommodated every archers draw length to use it. Personally, I have a 30″ draw which should put this bow at about 25-27# It consistently sinks arrows deep into my Field Logic Black Hole Archery Target Bh 18 target, and will bury an arrow to the fetching in a double reinforced cardboard box at 20 yards.
The accessories that come with this bow are decidedly low-rent items. I recommend replacing both the included arrow rest and the string nock with better quality items. The only real downside to this bow is its aesthetics. Some might find the 100% molded composite construction a bit off putting. Honestly it does lend an air of cheapness to the bow, but I can assure you that it’s totally solid.
If you’re looking for a beginner bow in this price range, but want something that isn’t fully molded, look to the Barnett Outdoors 1123 Buck Commander Sportflight Recurve Archery Set. It’s also a 60″ bow with a draw weight in the 20’s but has a more upscale riser with fiberglass limbs attached.

If you are thinking about trying archery and don’t have a lot of money I would suggest buying this bow.It has a light drawback weight so it is easy to practice form but i think it is meant for children. Regardless buy this if you are thinking archery. It’s also very strong and almost indestructible!
