I hadn’t worked a puzzle in many years before recently trying this and another Ravensburger 1000-piece puzzle. The quality of the pieces and fit is very good, giving a nice looking picture when completed. Large portions of this puzzle go together fairly quickly due to the large number of identifiable colored signs and objects, yet the darker portions such as the sky and the background skyscrapers present a decent challenge. I noted that these dark areas were darker and had less contrast than the picture on the box. It added a bit of enjoyment because of showing a real scene, where I could see locations and even a hotel where my family has visited in NYC. An enjoyable puzzle spread out over free time over about a week.

My wife asked for puzzles for Christmas, so I did some looking around and picked Ravensburger puzzles for one of her presents. This is an exceptionally high quality puzzle. I agree that the illustration doesn’t do it justice. The finished puzzle is gorgeous.

Good puzzle. It’s a nice image, and sufficiently difficult, but it was missing five pieces. We discovered one missing piece immediately, when doing the frame, but the other four were even more frustrating after spending all those hours. And no, the dog didn’t eat them. I wouldn’t recommend.
