Some model builders think kits should be challenging to complete. I don’t. I think we’re free to introduce all the challenges we want by adding extra details, movable parts, etc. I believe that kits should provide reasonably clean parts that actually fit, and instructions that help guide the builder to successful completion of the model, with minimal frustration and confusion, by combining good text with helpful pictures (be they artwork or photos). Sadly, too many kits have instructions that oppose the builder instead of offering helpful guidance.
Well, I’m happy to say that this kit, in my opinion, is just another example of how kits should be done, and why Revell/Monogram kits are better than average. My one and only complaint is that despite having built over 600 models in my time, I was unable to get the kit’s hood hinge to work. I finally just cut the hinge off and made the hood removable. Oh, and the hood is missing its air scoop. A 427 Cobra with no air scoop? Tsk tsk. Still, it was fun to build and it makes a nice looking dust collector on a nearby shelf. (Mine sits on a Testors trailer behind a Ford pickup truck.)

My car came out beautifully with a lot of hard work and determination. There are a few tiny parts though that are very hard to put on. But the end result definitely made it worth while. It should take 2-3 weeks to complete a build. This car is scaled perfectly as well. (1/24)

The model is nicely detailed and the instructions are complete and easy to use. However, Don’t expect kids under about 14 or 15 to be able to build this model. The parts are very small so get a magnifier and the Model Master liquid cement with the pinpoint applicator, it’s nice. Also, do the painting first so you can put together the parts in larger numbers.
