The trains are cute but they won’t stay attached. They break off from one another quite easily. My three year-old has found this very frustrating because he wants to play with the trains “hooked” together.

One of my 4yo sons LOVES trains. I bought this set to throw in his backpack for restaurant trips, vacations, trips to grandparents’ homes, etc. They’re certainly not on the level of the wooden Thomas/Brio trains, but then I also don’t care if we accidentally leave one behind. I also bought the trees TOOB, then made “tracks” out of wooden popsicle sticks (saw this on the blog of a mom who has a train lover kiddo). This combo keeps my son entertained for long stretches of time.

I love Safari Ltd TOOBs. They have never steered me wrong, until this set. These trains just do not stay together. It is very frustrating for a 4 year old. As an adult, I even had issues putting some of these together.
