This review is from: Sharpie Calligraphic Chisel Tip Water Based Markers, 5 Colored Markers (40150SH) (Office Product)
The size is right, the price was right, and the markers are precise and easy to hold.
I didn’t experience the inconsistent tips another reviewer did. Concerned about that review, I dashed off a quick test at work. I was happy with the results, which you can see in the product gallery. The ink barely bled through the recycled notebook paper, and there was minimal feathering.
I added a new photo. Something dripped on one of my doodles, and the ink ran. While I’m not entirely surprised and will use the markers anyway, it’s good to know!
These are much more transparent than the Zig calligraphy markers I have, but Zig markers are twice as much, even if you have a local craft store coupon.
Yes, the “purple” one is actually brown.
The insert inexplicably has a gothic black letter alphabet for calligraphy newbies. I find that hand incredibly difficult and unforgiving, and would suggest newbies look up the more common Italic alphabet instead.

These are not professional quality markers but they work well enough and are a great value. After several uses the tip will probably start to round off some but you can expect that with any felt tip style marker. The colors do look great and wont bleed through most paper which is a big plus. I use them with Rhodia Graph paper and they are quite beautiful. If you want something that is functionable, and affordable then be sure to purchase.

If you just like to make fancy letters when you write or make posters/cards, this is the best set. It’s inexpensive and it does the trick. They stopped selling them at our local office supply store. I was glad to find them here on Amazon.
