This review is from: Simply Soft Paints Yarn C9700P 4-Ounce/208-Yard Skein of Yarn, Rose Garden (Kitchen) I crochet blankets for Project Linus and this works up well in beautiful color-ways. It’s a good choice if you don’t want to spend a lot and need a washable, allergy free yarn. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment Reply 16 of 16 people found the following review helpful Lovely yarn with the same name and identifying numbers – buit not the same as that made in the USA, June 6, 2014 By Carole Seal – Verified Purchase(What’s this?) This review is from: Simply Soft Paints Yarn C9700P 4-Ounce/200-Yard Skein of Yarn, Tapestry (Kitchen) I purchased this yarn because all the identifying factors matched those on the label of the yarn I was using. But this yarn was manufactured in Turkey and is much, much brighter in colors than the muted yarn that was made in the USA and makes up 3/4 of the prayer shawl I was knitting. I’ll have to come up with plan 2 to complete this project. For those of you just starting a project, it’s nice yarn. However, if you think it’s going to match the yarn you purchased last year, you might want to think again. Hint: the USA yarn had a silvery grey label with a lady modeling a shawl pictured on it and clearly states “made in USA.” The yarn manuifactured in Turkey has a beige label which states that it was made in Turkey and packaged in the USA. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment (1) Reply 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful This is so easy care and bright, August 31, 2014 By Shala Kerrigan “Glitter it and call it art.” (Anchorage, Alaska) – This review is from: Simply Soft Paints Yarn C9700P 4-Ounce/208-Yard Skein of Yarn, Oceana (Kitchen) I’m a natural fiber snob, and don’t mind admitting it. But I bought a pin loom that came with a small amount of Simply Soft solids for practice. I liked it well enough to buy a couple skeins for using with other pin looms, then tried crocheting with the yarn. It works up beautifully, and it’s easy care. Machine wash, gentle dry or hand wash and air dry. The Oceana color way is bright, cheerful and the gradations between colors are soft and fairly short for a nice painted effect. For my own projects, I prefer to use a size G hook rather than the recommended H for a tighter fabric. I really like that it’s no dye lot as well. I’ll still stick to natural fibers for most of my projects but this is working out well for non-heirloom projects. It’s bright, soft, and easy care. A good choice for amigurumi, small accessories and wearables that will need to be washed regularly. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment Reply Leave a comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
