This tool works fine. My biggest complaint is that the blades need to be pushed in with a tool. The scratch awl is nice and sharp, the diamond shaped blades… not so much. You can see tool marks perpendicular to the length of the blade, some work with fine sandpaper and a buffer would help. I had to sharpen the tip to get the blade to go through the leather easily. An observation about using a 4 in 1 tool is that if you need to change from one tool to another often, it’s a pain. I will buy a scratch awl and only use this for punching holes for stitching.

This is a very versatile tool that will have many uses, especially repairing Grandson’s baseball gloves(and Grandma’s). The multi use handle helps a lot.
