This review is from: TG Tungsten Dart Set – 85% Tungsten – Pro Style Darts Darts (Sports)
I’ve been tossing darts on and off for several years and recently became active again. I had been throwing a 21g tungsten dart (thin) and recently tried some 26g brass darts (thick). I found I was more accurate with the heavier darts and decided to try a thinner set to see if it was due to the weight or the size of the dart barrel. Turns out the weight was what was helping me. My initial plan was to try these affordable TG darts, then buy better darts if needed… well, these darts are great, they are consistent and fly true – my grouping has really tightened up. I don’t plan on replacing them any time soon… as a matter of fact, I may buy a second set. They come with two sets of shafts and two sets of flights in a pocket case. Recommended.

This is my first set of Tungsten darts and the extra weight really makes a difference!. I think the heavier dart helps me to keep a much smoother throwing motion when compared to a lighter brass dart.
These are fairly thin at about 17/64″ and pretty long at around 1 7/8″. I work in a chemistry lab and took these in to weigh them on our precise scales and see if there was much variation in the weight of the barrels. Each one came in at right about 26.1g, with a range of about 0.06g. I consider this to be very good for such an inexpensive set of darts.
However outside of the barrels, these things are nothing special. The case is absolute garbage, mine won’t even stay closed on its own. The flights started to come apart after 3 weeks of use (although I did robin hood them once or twice) and I’m not a fan of the shafts they give you, both sets are too long causing a wobble in my throw. I’d say get these for the nice Tungsten barrels, then buy some shorter nylon shafts, some decent poly flights, and maybe even some flight protectors (all very cheap accessories, about $1-2 each for sets of 3) and you’ve got a great set for the money.

To start, I’d like to rate this 3.5 stars.
For the price I got these, they’re awesome. But there are a couple knocks on it.
1. The shafts are a little flimsy. Even with flight protectors, I “Robin Hood’ed” another dart and the part that holds the flights in bent over. Luckily, I have a ton of tools and was able to bend them back into a usable position.
2. The flights that come with these darts are GARBAGE so just remember to buy a better set.
3. Lastly, they do not come with O-Rings so make sure you buy some. They’re very cheap and make a big difference.
But overall, they’re nice a heavy, throw true. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a better set of darts to start out with.
