Lawrence” 14 of 15 people found the following review helpful Best available Lawrence collection for Kindle, May 26, 2011 By Fred Burwell (Beloit, WI USA) – This review is from: Collected Works of D. H. Lawrence (Delphi Classics) (Kindle Edition) Delphi Classics is quite clear about the copyright restrictions making this collection less “complete” than its British version and although it would be nice if we Americans could have all of Lawrence’s work in one collection, what we do have here comes close and at a very low, more than reasonable price. In typical Delphi fashion, the works are presented and organized with care and include value added “extras” such as original illustrations, photographs of Lawrence and his environs, and mini-introductions to many of the works which help put them in context. Simply put, there are countless hours of reading pleasure here. I have been extremely pleased with all of my Delphi purchases and highly recommend them for devotees of classic literature. H. Lawrence (Delphi Classics) (Kindle Edition) Be aware that the previous 1 star review does NOT concern the wonderful Delphi Classics edition but that of another less-professionnal publisher. DC are a dedicated team that loves the great writers and respect their customers. So buy the right edition from the best publisher of classic literature for the kindle. This review is from: Collected Works of D. H. Lawrence (Delphi Classics) (Kindle Edition) It’s hard to believe it now, but for years “Lady Chatterly’s Lover” was on everyone In the USA’S banned list–this collection brings together all of Lawrence’s novels and essays–I bought it primarily for the essays, especially the one where he looks to fiction as a worthy adjunct to history. He says that fiction will tell you the truth of the author’s time, a useful argument if anyone objects to a teacher including a well-chosen nove in a history class Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment Reply Leave a comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
