We gave this to our son for Christmas. He thinks the music and the sounds are a blast! The track goes together in a circle or oval pretty easily. It is standing up to a lot of use. There are a couple of down sides. One is easily fixed. The dump truck is held on to the car by a magnet. This frustrates him because it falls off so easily. I just glued it to the car. The second problem is the cars connect magnetically. Trying to explain that magnets attract oppositely is impossible for a two year old. It is a super cute set, especially for a young kid that is into trains.

Just want to add that the description of what is included does not mention that it comes with 5 feet of track?? So I just thought, ok, it can run on the floor, or hopefully with his thomas the train tracks. But it does come with the tracks, and I’m happy about that!! My five year old grandson will love this train for Valentine’s day!!!

My son loves to build and these tracks are easy for him to put together. They don’t stay together all that well but we put them on an ottoman instead of a table. There are magnets between the cars so he can lift them up and they dangle from one another giving a new dimension to play. The locomotive makes good sounds and even had a song. They haven’t annoyed me in 8 months. It is a perfectly good first train for your child to move around the track on his/her own.

Fun and cute toy,
