This Monster truck is so cool! We are in love with this. I don’t know who likes it more, my husband or my 5 year old boy. This is a seriously fun Monster truck. It can get some serious speed! I played with this for quite a while and found it to be an endless amount of fun. My dog got a kick out of this too, she loved chasing it around the yard, she is a small dog and could never catch up with it. It was quite funny to watch. This comes with rechargeable batteries. The batteries don’t last long, I was able to get a little over 20 minutes of drive time on a full charge. The remote takes 2 AA batteries which are not included. The truck top comes off to put the lithium batteries in. It’s a very light weight easy to remove top. The tires are seriously strong and this thing has some great suspension! I was impressed with the overall design and the ease of use.

Now I do not know what I am doing when I was testing this truck out, so this is from me and my 14 year old learning how these RC toys work! Such fun for both of us, we both laughed at our inability to control the monster truck at the high speed. LOTS of crashes and learning took place. I love that this great toy is waterproof because we have a pool and ponds in my yard! I live on 1/2 acre lot, so it is very nice that we did not have to go “fetch” this truck, the distance the remote controlled it is truly awesome! I hope my video shows this product in its correct form and quality! I do videos to first show the product from a customer stand point and second to try and answer any questions customer may have, regardless of the answer! I do hope I did both for you! Overall, the quality of this RC truck seems to be top notch. It has taken quite the beating between me and my daughter took it out of the box. Now, we can control it better and having so much fun! I have never seen a RC vehicle go this fast, truly amazing. I love that the only thing it did not include was 2 AA batteries, the battery in the truck is rechargeable. I would not put this in a category of “toy” but rather “hobby”. My rating is definitely 5 stars.

This RC car is an absolute blast to play with and really just a lot of fun. Lots of RC cars that you buy in the big box stores are just jokes – they are slow and they poke along on hardwood floors, but can barely make it over a carpet, much less be run outdoors. Of course, when I was a kid I used to build those hobbyist RC cars which were a blast to run, but of course they are fairly pricey. Just the kits cost over $100, not to mention speed controllers, remotes, batteries, motors, etc. I was intrigued by this car because it promises “hobbyist grade” fun in a price that is closer to a premium toy.
The car arrives fully assembled. It does come with a full list of parts, although I’m not sure what to do with it, because nothing needs to be done other than charging and installing a battery. To install the battery, you do have to remove the plastic cover by pulling out 4 spring clips. This is similar to the high end hobbyist cars. The on/off switch for the car is inside the battery compartment, an unfortunate choice that makes it a bit inconvenient to install the battery and go play. You have to have both the car and the controller turned on at the same time or sometimes the car can lose its mind. When I first turned on the car, the controller did not properly connect and the car went into high speed without me doing anything on the controller. Turning both on at the same time, I had good control and was able to go outside and play.
My kids loved the car – it flew over our sidewalk, plowed through grass that was in desperate need of cutting, even going up hill through the tall grass. My kids were laughing and having a blast.
Unfortunately, the battery died in about 10 minutes, so the fun ended quickly. A typical hobbyist car will last closer to 20 minutes, but I’m not surprised that this super zippy car went through the battery quickly. We also had an issue with reverse. For some reason, the first time you push “reverse”, nothing happens. The second time, the car goes backwards. My kids got used to “double clicking” the trigger to get the car to go backwards because it always seemed to take two goes at it.
So overall I rate it 4 stars. Too much fun to give much lower, but the limited battery life, inconvenient power switch, and oddity on reverse do give me some concerns. We’ll keep playing and check on longevity, but so far it’s been abused and seems to take it quite well. For the price, it’s a fun RC car!
