I was a die hard fixed blade man for 25 years of bow hunting, but I finally gave in and started trying mechanical broadheads two years ago. I probably tried 5 or 6 different types and did not like them and was about to give up when a recommendation from a close friend landed me on the meat seeker. In practice, they are so close in flight to regular field tips, I didn’t bother making any adjustments to my bow. The blades stay tucked in to the ferrule until impact every time and my bow chrono’s at 316 fps. In hunting, they have performed fantastically on 4 deer. The tip is very sharp and smashes it’s way through bone with ease. The penetration was awesome with 4 complete pass through shots that left a blood trail that a blind man could follow! But I’ve never had to follow one more than 50 yards! The entry and exit wounds are massive! I really like the way these blades deploy compared to the “over the top” deployment of other mechanical broadheads. virtually no lost energy in deploying the blades. I have since switched to a lighter rubber band than what is included in the package to use even less energy during blade deployment. I have only had 1 blade break but that was after a 10 yard shot on a doe passed straight through and smacked the base of a tree. I would give 5 stars but the cost knocks them down a star.

Amazing broadheads. They really do fly just like field points! Never had a problem with deployment of blades(by the way they slice a HUGE hole) and the rubberband has always still been on the arrow(if you lose it though don’t worry they give you a big baggy of extras)
The only downside to these broadheads is that they are really only good for one use. After passing threw deer they they are extremely dull and so small they are difficult to sharpen. So if you are willing to buy replacement blades all the time I’d say these are the best things out there.

First year bow hunter. I’ve never used any other broadhead. All I can say is one shot one kill! The penetration was lethal and the blood trail was massive and easy to follow on rain soaked ground.
