I’ve been drinking my Oktoberfest bier for about a week now, and it is great! Great flavor, great color (about a 12 on the lovibond scale), great everything. I’m completely happy with how this beer turned out. I bought this for my first attempt at brewing, so for beginners I HIGHLY recommend this. I am probably going to try my picking my own ingredients for my next batch, but if it doesn’t turn out I will definitely buy this again!
(1st review)So far so good! My beer is bottled and now I have to wait a month for it to be ready to drink. Instructions were really easy to use, all of the ingredients were there and neatly packaged/labeled so it was a breeze when I was boiling the wort and whatnot. My house smelled amazing for about a day after brewing and starting the primary fermentation process. I will comment once the beer is done! I can’t wait!

This is my first batch of home brew. I got the kit from my wife for christmas and was overjoyed since most of my guy friends are brewers also. With help from them, I boiled down from 6 gallons to 4 and then only added 1 gallon of water to my wort at the end. Easy process and tasted great when I racked the beer, but at week 4 of conditioning the beer was still a bit sweet. Good, but not Great. (Read update below) I have read on here that the flavor gets better after 5+ weeks so I will update after I try it this weekend! I am hoping it is as good as the other have commented.
**UPDATE** I tasted this beer again after 6 weeks in the bottle and WOW … Absolutely amazing! I changed from 4 to 5 stars! I can’t beleive the difference from weeks 4-5 til now. The beer holds great head retention and tastes amazing! I was a little reluctant after a disappointing first taste, but the extra few weeks wait was well worth the wait. I had 6 of them last night to celebrate! HAHA.

This is my third and best brew since 2006. I decided to restart my brewing adventures with this Oktoberfest kit and it turned out pretty well.
The instructions are quite simple to follow and with careful consideration to cleanliness and preparation, you will have a great tasting beer.
I recommend getting a beer instruction book which will enhance your brewing experience, since part of the instruction pamplet provides only bullet points to procedures that may require more detail.
I plan to pass this batch out during an upcoming Christmas party, so I am currently doing a taste test and making sure it meets my expectations for a good brew.
My experience with this beer:
-You can drink this warm or cold. -It smells flavorful, sweet. -Great foamy head, though less carbonated than most commercial beers. -Taste is not too strong/harsh, not weak either
I like it!
