This review is from: Udirc Venom 2.4GHz High Speed Remote Control Electric Boat (Orange) (Toy) I ordered two RC boats, one for my grandson, and one for me.On the maiden voyage we discovered that each was responding to the one controller. (Same frequency I suppose). So we could not operate them at the same time. That took away half of the fun.He ran his until the battery died and then I ran mine. Mine soon went slower and s l o w e r so I brought it back to shore. Found out it was filled with water and the seal where the rudder contol wire passes through the rear bulkead was loose.A third dissappointment is the short life of a fully charged battery – and no way to recharge it “in the field” The boats themselves are quite fast and it’s fairly easy to learn how to control them. The warning beep in the hand controller is a handy reminder that it’s time to head back to shore. They look cool too. If the seller offered a spare battery option and would request the manufacturer to randomly chenge the frequency of the remote controller . . . 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comments (2) Reply 24 of 25 people found the following review helpful Love the Extra Features, September 29, 2014 By mom of 5 – This review is from: Udirc Venom 2.4GHz High Speed Remote Control Electric Boat (Orange) (Toy) Great entry level R/C boat with awesome features. The low battery alarm removes any concerns about getting the boat stranded I the middle of the lake. The self-righting feature works well (from what I can tell, it works by using the torque of the motor when you alternate from reverse to forward quickly). The boat is hard to capsize on smooth, calm water; however, it flips over easily in rough water. The hull seems very durable. The digital transmitter has great range and uses the same frequency spectrum as cordless telephones (much better than the older transmitters that use the standard telescoping metal antenna). Great boat for the price. I looked at other boats that cost between $20-$30, and the extra features this boat offers are well worth the extra $20-$30 (I paid $50). I didn’t time the actual run time, but it seemed longer than the 10-15 min as advertised. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment Reply 21 of 23 people found the following review helpful Pretty sweet for the cost., September 28, 2014 By Christopher R Boggs – Verified Purchase(What’s this?) This review is from: Udirc Venom 2.4GHz High Speed Remote Control Electric Boat (Orange) (Toy) I bought this for my 6 year old and he loves it. It’s pretty fast and reasonably easy to control for him. The instructions suck as they’re written in Japanglish. The battery compartment isn’t great as I loaded them correctly, but it didn’t turn on until I partially ejected one of the batteries. Oddly enough, after that I was able to close the door and it functioned properly. The main boat battery last for around 15 min, which is to be expected I guess. What you really need to know is when the remote is working properly, you’ll hear one beep. When you put the boat in water (and only when it’s in water) you’ll hear three beeps meaning that it’s sync’d to the remote. Then you’re good to go. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comment Reply Leave a comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
