Have flew it twice inside a real hand full when in a small area, cause this baby really moves, outside have done 8 full flights all of them perfect, no crashes and each ending with a nice soft landing. flies very well even in a pretty good breeze, handles wind very well, you can swoop from 15 feet in the air down to inches from the ground in just a blink of an eye, has very long range so far that you just have to stop any further cause its so far out there or up there that you will loose site of it, I did take it 150-200 feet straight up just to see how far it would go I finally just stopped taking it up cause it was so small I could barely see it. because of the elastic type material most of the parts are made of crashes are handled without any damage or nicks or scratches. I get about 5-6min out of each battery, you get 2 and can be charged up at the same time which only takes 30min., I am getting 2 more batteries which are cheap right here at amazon $16.99 for both, everything is a pro, pro pro, only con I can think of is the down time to recharge the batteries, you just dont want to stop flying with it and at $45 its easy on the pocket book and you are getting a hobby grade 4 channel fixed blade helo. highly recommend, of the 10 helos I got this one is far the funniest to fly, I wont even dare take my new Esky 6 channel out at $180 I want to get really good at flying, crashing that is not an option, by the way this is the honest truth I got the black version and while out today at our park from our house I was doing some cute 3d’ish swooping and spins with it and it was no more than10 feet in front of me and no more than 4 foot off the ground when a fairly large hawk swoop in and tried to attack or take my helo, at 1st I thought maybe it just flew in by mistake but it came back 2 more times and tried to attack the helo, it got no closer than a foot to it, maybe the blades or the noise or blade wind kept it from trying to actually grabbing it, finally I landed it and waited for the hawk to give up and fly away, weird. 2/9/12 ok flown at least 20 times, perfect flights easy to control and very fast handles wind if not to strong very easy also, have uploaded a video of a couple of times I have flown it and had some one shoot HD video, sorry amazon wont upload HD stuff, real happy better than spending $145 on the same thing by Align, dont buy it here, I got mine from a vender in China, free shipping and only $45, did take 3 weeks to get here, well worth the wait I want to fly this every day and in Arizona you have alot of days to fly helo’s 4/2/12well the V911 just does not crash unless you try something brave and stupid, but it hovers perfect even hands off, now just got a 9958 and yes its a much faster helo and handles any wind, well not hurricane but easy anything up to 10mph, but the 9958 does not hover perfect and prone to crashes, maybe cause the darn thing is so fast, but one thing for sure on the V911 most every part from a solo pro 260 fits on it, I got a CNC swash-plate kit for it and it does make a difference on the V911, also put a yellow canopy on from a Solo pro, did not care for it to flimsy, easy to bust up in any hard landing, used the rear glow in the dark tail rotor for it, have another blue and white on its way and the solo pro CNC swash-plate ready to go on for it. have 8 batteries for it which will give me 4 for each when the blue and white shows up, since February put another 20-30 flights on it bird, really dont fly the 3 channels much just been flying my micro V911 and my new 9958 each time I go out. 4/10/12 got my 3rd V911 got it from TOPTOM right here on amazon , dont it takes just as long as getting it from banggood in hong kong and the 1st one from TOPTOM came busted up then they shipped a 2nd one and messed that packaging up also, the landing skid and balance bar came bent up, took and hour of working this softer than usual plastic back into shape, well now having 2 9958 and 3 V911, the V911 is way better and for some unknown reason the blue and white V911 I got recently are much faster and more powerful over my 1st black and orange V911, one of my newest V911 is so fast its a bit scary it will really move out, flying in a tight circle it buzzes like a bee, the 1st thing I do with any of the V911 or the 9958 is glue certain areas with a special super glue fix it all adhesive, does not dry hard, i seal the tail motor wires, a dab on the tail motor and mount, the rudder a dab, then I drill out all of the canopy’s on those so I can install rubber grommets in them. do not glue any of the landing skids its better to let them come off in a hard… Read more Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? | Comments (5) Reply 137 of 144 people found the following review helpful V911 Walkera knockoff, February 11, 2012 By unktone – This review is from: Wl Products – 4CH 2.4GHz Mini Radio Single Propeller RC Helicopter Gyro V911 RTF Red and Black – This 4CH 2.4GHz mini RC helicopter with pioneering single propeller, built-in Gyro, extremely light weight, strong resistance of impact, steady and agil Customer Video Review Length:: 0:52 Mins I just got this copper off ebay for 52.99 free shipping. This bird is WAAAAAY better than the 9958…just by inspecting it you can see that all the plastic parts are thicker, and better design. The gyro on it is crazy, makes it stable itself out nicely during flight. Speaking of flight – WAY more lift power than the 9958, precision controlling, and like I said it levels itself out nicely after banks and quick thrusts forward. Battery life seems great, plus it comes with TWO batteries and a little charger docking station :). Speed and maneuverability are amazing – I can’t wait to get this thing in a bigger space than my house. Second installment – uploading a video of some flight in my house. This thing is GREAT! It is a chinese knockoff cross between a Nine Eagles Solo Pro and an Align T-rex 100s, but for a third of the price. I even found the word Align in thier manual since they didn’t do a good job removing that in the process of duplicating the manual. I came from flying an airhogs, then the Syma S102G (much better than air hog) and now this 4 channel V911. I can’t compare to other 4 ch heli’s but compared to the coaxial 3 channels, this is much, much more fun. It is so much faster and can fly outside in the sun, thanks to the 2.4 Ghz remote. Wind will greatly affect it so calm days are best. The 2 removable batteries are awesome and last 5 or 6 minutes each. The biggest problem I had was getting use to the different controller layout compared to the 3ch coaxial heli’s. The throttle is still on the left, but the rudder (spin left or right) is on the left instead of the right, which makes this controller a mode 2 layout. The right stick on this controller controls forward/backward, and slide left/right (this function is the added channel). This took a couple days to get used and ended in a couple severe crashes. I severed the tail rotor wire on one of the crashes, which could have been prevented if I put a small piece of tape back there to keep the wire in between a recesed area. I soldered it back and taped it, and it is good as new. Mine was not purchased from amazon (was 80 dollars at the time, but more resonable now), but from ebay for $48. I also purchased a spare heli (no controller or batteries) for $28 from Banggood.com. Good thing I bought a second because I destroyed the servo on the first heli while showing at work. It was my fault though since I slammed the heli’s side, directly on the servo arm, into a steel ladder at a very, very high rate of speed. This made the heli a spare parts doner (which was its original purpose) and not a flyable heli. By the way, to bind the radio to the new heli, simply turn both the heli (insert battery) and the controller on at exact same time, and it binds everytime. I do recommend putting some lightweight oil on the swash plate and main shaft for smoother action. Despite my couple issues above, this heli is very robust, having survived many crashes inside and out including slamming into a car and concrete pretty hard. Simply reattach the canopy that pops off (which probably absorbs a lot of the impact and save the heli’s internals) and it is back in the air. I highly recommend!
